Why is my service showing Xeon E3-12xx v2 and not the CPU I ordered?
This is a common issue that can occur with some VPSs. The underlying hardware may use a different CPU model than what is advertised or what you ordered.
The reason for this is that hosting providers often use virtualization technologies, like hypervisors, to share physical server resources across multiple customer instances. When this is the case, the CPU model reported in your control panel or dashboard may not match the physical CPU in the server.
To see the actual CPU model you have been provisioned, you'll need to go into the control panel and change the CPU type to "Host". This will bypass the virtualization layer and show you the true CPU model.
However, it's generally not recommended to change this setting unless you have a specific need to access the underlying hardware details, such as if you plan to run virtual machines (VMs) on your VPS. Leaving the default setting in place is usually the best approach for most users.
